One brand.
A connected
Shopify store.
I moved DRINK IV-X from Wix Studio to Shopify, connecting flavour selection, subscriptions and affiliate onboarding in one branded experience.
My work covered UX/UI, custom Liquid development, content migration and launch.

This case study documents my 2025 work. The live DRINK IV-X storefront has since changed.

- DRINK IV-X supplied photography and copy; a collaborating 3D designer produced the renders.
01 / The platform decision
The next stage needed
more than a new look.
DRINK IV-X is a New York-based, low-sugar performance energy drink brand. Its first store used Wix Studio for visual flexibility. As the range grew, slow loading and limits around subscriptions and integrations became reasons to revisit the setup.
I chose Shopify as the foundation for the next stage: separate flavour products, purchase options, discounts and an affiliate programme. The migration needed to carry across the existing brand, content and domain.
The implementation choice
Use a theme as the foundation.
Build the details around the product.
I adapted a premium Shopify theme and developed custom Liquid sections. This combined the theme’s existing commerce structure with the layouts and product interactions DRINK IV-X needed.
02 / Brand into storefront
Keep the identity.
Give each flavour a voice.
I adapted the existing brand rather than creating a new identity. Clear typography, large product imagery and editorial layouts gave the store a consistent structure, while flavour-specific colours distinguished the range.
The DRINK IV-X team supplied photography, lifestyle images and written content. I designed the product-page images and directed the new 3D product work; a collaborating 3D designer produced the final renders.

Product-page imagery
People, product
and flavour.
I designed the product-page images around lifestyle photography, product renders and flavour colours. The layouts combined the brand's imagery and product information into a consistent set for the store.
03 / The defining interaction
Separate products.
One flavour family.
Each flavour was a separate Shopify product, with its own inventory, images, information and URL. That structure worked for store management, but shoppers needed a clear way to move across the range.
I built sibling-product cards into the product page. They linked the flavours together, with an active colour state showing which product was selected. Switching flavour opened the corresponding product while keeping the same page structure.

The purchase decision
Put the useful choices
in the same place.
The product page combined flavour selection, a dynamic sweetness meter and one-time or subscription options. Offer ribbons surfaced relevant information, while a sticky add-to-cart kept the next action available on mobile.
I designed and tested the desktop and mobile states so the purchase choices remained clear across screen sizes.

04 / Affiliate onboarding
Connect the partner journey
with GoAffPro.
The affiliate programme needed a path from interest to participation. I set up and customised GoAffPro, including a branded landing and login experience, affiliate and company-side dashboards, discount-code automation and onboarding emails.
The technical challenge was connecting these app-provided features and making the experience feel consistent with the store. GoAffPro supplied the affiliate platform; my work covered its setup, styling and integration.

05 / Migration & launch
Move the content.
Check the connections.
I migrated products, pages, blogs and CMS content into the new Shopify structure, then transferred the SEO settings and connected the existing domain.
Before launch, I tested product switching, subscription choices, discounts, cart behaviour, checkout and emails on desktop and mobile. The migration was complete when Shopify became the main storefront on the existing domain.
