
KIDCITY
Kidcity is India's first 360 Degree tech solution for the kids wear industry. As a lead UX UI designer, I was tasked with redesigning the Kidcity retailers app and creating a new app for manufacturers from scratch. I was also responsible for creating and maintaining a design system for the Kidcity mobile app.
Problem Statement
There were several UI and interaction issues with the existing Kidcity retailers app, including visual inconsistency, poor UX practices, a confusing cart page, and outdated UI. Additionally, the app was buggy and slow, and there were no interaction or navigation animations. Customers were also having difficulty finding contact details and were confused about the cart and purchase flow due to the requirement to bill each city's orders separately.
My Role
My role was to address these issues and improve the overall user experience of the Kidcity retailers app. I conducted research to understand the pain points of existing customers and identify the end user persona and characteristics. I then used this information to redesign the UI and improve the navigation flow, create a custom stepper cart page, shift to React Native for a more responsive and bug-free app, and add interaction and navigation animations. I also made sure that contact details were easily accessible and worked on improving the overall performance and speed of the app.
How I Helped Kidcity
By redesigning the UI, improving the navigation flow, creating a custom stepper cart page, shifting to React Native, and adding interaction and navigation animations, I was able to significantly improve the user experience of the Kidcity retailers app. These changes not only made the app more attractive and engaging, but also made it easier for customers to use and navigate. Additionally, by addressing the performance issues and improving the overall speed of the app, I helped to increase customer satisfaction and retention.
